Tips for Visitors

Dubai is located on the Eastern coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It is extremely well known for its warm hospitality and rich cultural heritage. Arabic is the official language of Dubai, however English is widely understood and spoken.

Dress Code

Dubai is tolerant and cosmopolitan however, Islam is a way of life in the city, therefore, tourists should adopt a certain level of cultural and religious sensitivity.


Normal three-pin 134 amp British-style plugs are used, operating on 220/240 volts. Although adapters are usually in hotels, you may want to purchase one before you arrive.


Airports, docks, telecommunication equipment, government buildings, military and industrial installations should not be photographed. Please be sure to observe the “no photography” signs.
