Jim Hartenstein

Jim Hartenstein’s entire career has been internationally focused.  He was Senior Vice President-International at both Wendy’s and Little Caesars Pizza, with overall responsibilities for all activities outside the US.  He now provides consulting assistance for international franchise expansion.  Prior to that he worked at American Express in their Latin America/Caribbean Division.  He started his career with the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.  He speaks fluent Spanish and has lived with his family in Venezuela, Panama, Chile, and Mexico.  Jim received a Master of Business Administration in International Management, “With Distinction”, from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, in Phoenix, Arizona and a Bachelor of Arts from Denison University, where he was also President of Sigma Chi Fraternity.  He was a member of a Special Committee of the Board of Directors of Wendy’s, a member of the IFA  International Committee and he is currently on the Advisory Council of the Global Restaurant Leadership Conference. He serves on the Board of Directors of a Mexico-based multinational restaurant company as well as two non-profit Boards in Miami and he serves as a mentor with Endeavor Global.  He is a frequent speaker at industry events and has written several articles in franchising publications.
