Onur Haytac founded Benseron Hospitality in 2004, while studying for his MS degree in Computer Science. While a student at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, USA, he parlayed a late-night computer fix for a Subway franchisee into a thriving global business.
Onur has led the product vision at Benseron Hospitality, creating innovative point of sale software systems for Windows, iOS, and browser platforms. His flagship product, cloud-based Linga POS, has pushed the limits of POS systems, to include inventory management, customer loyalty, online ordering, self-serve kiosks, and a host of features that redefine point of sale.
Onur was born in Turkey, completed graduate school in the USA, and now travels the globe putting deals together for the best restaurant hardware components, setting up international offices, and meeting with industry leaders from the 30+ countries he does business in.
Most recently Benseron has been chosen as a Company to Watch by GrowFL, an organization that reviews over 500 companies through two detailed review stages, and selects the top 50 based on their potential for sustained growth.
Onur has been recognized as a 40 under 40 of Turkish-American Entrepreneurs, and Chairs the Advisor Council for the FGCU Department of Information Science. Onur also holds a BS in Economics from Dokuz Eylül University.
