Marlijn van Straaten, 41 years of age, joined HMSHost in April 2016 as Vice President Marketing and Communications for HMSHost International Food & Beverage for Northern Europe, Middle East & Asia Pacific.
In this position Marlijn is responsible for all Marketing and Communications B2B2C and concepts development in airports and other travel venues.
Marlijn reports to HMSHost International CEO Walter Seib and is part of the Executive Leadership team of HMSHost International.
Prior to her HMSHost position, Marlijn was head of Commerce Retail and Food & Beverages at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol whereas she was responsible for the commercial and brand development of Terminal 3,4 and the recently opened Terminal 2.
Before her work at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol Marlijn worked in several Brand management positions in the Fast moving consumer good industry. Marlijn has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Hotelschool The Hague and gained her MsC in general management at Nyenrode University.
