Shari Bower is the regional executive at the Miami Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. She is responsible for the Atlanta Fed's Regional Economic Network (REIN) for south Florida and is a member of the core group of Atlanta Fed leaders advising on monetary policy. Her work with business executives and community leaders in the branch's 13-county area helps to bring business insights to national monetary policy deliberations. Shari also oversees the Miami Branch's board of directors and the District's Advisory council on Travel and Tourism and advises on regional community and economic development outreach efforts. Shari is a policy expert with a previous focus on payments and market infrastructure policy.
She began her career at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as a summer intern in 2004 and joined the Atlanta Fed in January 2020. A native of Queens, New York, Shari earned a bachelor’s degree in international relations and anthropology from Tufts University and a master’s degree in public policy from New York University.
